"So Many Details" by Toro Y Moi

Hey, readers! It's Lindsey here for my Tuesday review. For those of you attending CSUF, it's spring break this week (which for me consists of sitting at home on Tumblr and watching TV). Anyways, let's get this review on the road!

Chaz Bundick, better known by his stage name Toro Y Moi, is one of the more unique artists I've come across. I was first introduced to him by my friend when she played the song "Talamak" during an aimless night drive one summer. The song was from the earlier part of his career (the album it's on was released in 2010) and definitely shows his earlier chill-wave influence. This earlier sound came from his friendship with Ernest Greene, also known as Washed Out, when he was attending the University of South Carolina. Greene is also an artist that would be considered chill-wave. However, Toro Y Moi has changed since that album from 2010, and his more recent music definitely gives off a funky, synthpop vibe, a great example of this being the song "So Many Details". 

The song is just really groovy and Bundick's voice is perfect and...yeah. The beat of the song, the bass, the electro-funk vibe... I just suggest you play it in a car with good speakers, turn the bass up, and enjoy. But for now, here is the music video. I suggest headphones to really hear all of the layers in the song.

P.S. I think Chaz Bundick would be a really chill guy to meet.
